About me

Hi, I am Mel Riley, a female counsellor who works with a creative approach, which can be useful when words fail us.

I have many years experience working in a  number of settings including, schools, hostels, prisons, voluntary organisations and privately from home.

I work from a person centred model but include techniques from other models in my work such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). I offer a warm welcome to all my clients.

I work to an equal opportunities policy and this means I do not discriminate against any person on the grounds of colour, race, disability, nationality, ethnicity, politics or gender.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and registered with the United Kingdom Register for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

I adhere to the BACP ethical framework
