Therapy helps you to explore and manage what is happening in your life. Maybe you have some worries or concerns that you need to think through, or possibly some difficult decisions to make. Counsellors aim to help you through difficult situations and provide you with an opportunity to move forward.
Counsellors will:-
- Help you sort out and untangle your feelings and worries
- Provide you with insight into how you really think and feel
- Help you express your emotions in your own way
- Help you work out your own solutions to problems
- Help you accept what cannot be changed
- Help and support you while you do all this
- Not interrupt you
Counselling takes place in a private and confidential setting. Counsellors will not share your business with anyone else, unless there is a recognised danger to yourself or others, at which point appropriate support organisations may be contacted.
