Dear potential clients,

You don’t have to wait until your head is straight before coming to therapy, it isn’t necessary.

You don’t need to wait until you know what the problem is, you don’t have to wait until you can stop crying, shaking (insert any other word you like in here).

You don’t have to wait until you feel less of a mess, or when you feel less lost.

You can turn up in whatever state you are in and you don’t have to worry if you get tearful.

It’s pretty common for the dam to break as you speak your truths. Emotions may swell up, but no apology is needed

You are safe here, your tears are as welcome as you are. You can rant and swear too, your best behaviour isn’t required. Your best out fit isn’t either.

I don’t care if you have not had a shower. You can absolutely just check in and bring your brew, have the dog or cat in your lap, camera off or on its all OK.

I am just glad you found the courage and chose to trust me.

This is your therapy and there are very few rules; bringing you, just as you, are is enough

I won’t judge or think you are silly, often through the lens of trauma we make a lot more sense of what we do to survive.

You’re not alone now, you are here..

Much love

Mel
