Individual counselling

It’s hard to pick up the phone when life is not going too well; you might think other people have it much worse than you! We also may feel a bit silly or stupid for making a fuss about our situation. It’s not indulgent to get support – I think it’s actually very good self care. You might like to think of therapy as personal development for your very self.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your issues are, if you are affected by them then it’s important enough to get some help. I think if you have made the brave decision to share your world with me, then you should be treated with kind compassionate care. Our work together is also confidential, so it’s safe here to talk freely.

I won’t laugh or judge or be shocked with what you bring; our lives are messy complicated and I am not here to tell you how to live your life but I am here to help you make sense of your world if you need some help. We make mistakes as humans and we sometimes get it wrong. We can feel ashamed of this but I have made mistakes too – everyone does – and the only thing we can do is make sense of them, leave the shame behind and learn from them.

Pick up the phone, email or text and you will get a warm hello; and I don’t leave you waiting for long, responses are usually the same or next day if it’s late at night.

If you are here looking for support for someone else other than you then please take a look at the relevant sections for more information.
